He does this during his "Christmas Love Songs", which for 17 years have enjoyed tremendous success, filling churches and theatres in Leipzig, Wismar, Stralsund, Potsdam, Münster and Berlin.

Björn Casapietra loves wonderful old German Christmas carols as much as the most beautiful Italian, French and Celtic Christmas songs. All of them become an unforgettable experience through his unique, touching interpretation. The repertoire of this exceptional tenor is extraordinarily broad and demanding: joyful "Adeste Fideles", reverent "Es ist ein Ros´entsprungen" and passionate French "Cantique de Noël". With songs like "Still still still, weil's Kindlein schlafen will" or the beloved lullaby "Guten Abend, gut Nacht", he awakens memories of Christmas from childhood.

The programme includes a medley of the most famous German Christmas carols: "Süßer die Glocken nie klingen", "Oh du Fröhliche", "Leise rieselt der Schnee" and of course "Oh Tannenbaum". With the aria "Bist du bei mir" in the tradition of Bach, Casapietra wants to sing his way into the hearts of the audience. Works by Handel such as "Tochter Zion" and "Ombra Mai fu" will also be heard.
