QUEEN KINGS - THE SHOW MUST GO ON
For decades, The Queen Kings have brought the timeless music of Queen and Freddie Mercury to the stage - driven by the raw passion and combined energy of six musicians. Their new show "The Show Must Go On - 100% Live" is not a tribute act in the conventional sense, but a genuine commitment to the music: handcrafted, authentic, and full of energy.
No costumes, no imitation, no backing tracks - The Queen Kings play everything live. Every note, every vocal harmony, every emotion. Even "Bohemian Rhapsody" is performed entirely live, with no safety net and a guaranteed dose of goosebumps.
Frontman Sascha Krebs puts it plainly: "I can't - and don't want to - sound like Freddie. Nobody can. I want his music and his legacy to live on. Freddie was unique, an original. And you don't copy originals - because you simply can't."
When The Queen Kings take the stage, that philosophy comes to life: Krebs interprets the songs with an impressive vocal range and his own personality, while Drazen Zalac uses original equipment to resurrect the unmistakable Brian May sound. The rhythm section of Jan Wienstroer (drums) and Rolf Sander (bass) delivers the characteristic Queen feel, Christof Wetter adds orchestral depth on keyboards, and Susann de Bollier rounds out the band with her voice in the powerful, multi-part Queen choruses.
One standout feature: The Queen Kings don't just play the big stadium anthems. They regularly weave in lesser-known gems from Queen's vast catalogue - early tracks, rarities, even a short unplugged set. The result is a mix of iconic songs and musical surprises that keeps every show fresh.
Members of the band have previously worked with Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen and were part of...
