Bakery Brothers - Folk, Bluegrass, Americana

A pair of brothers, two voices, many strings.

The Bakery Brothers have covered quite a few miles over the course of their musical career. As recipients of the IBMA's "International Band Performance Grant", they completed a five-week US tour alongside bluegrass quartet Johnny & the Yooahoos, taking the stage at venues like the "Grand Ole Opry" and the "Greyfox Bluegrass Festival".

On the other side of their career, the two appeared as part of rock & roll band Midge's Pocket at major German hippie festivals including the "Burg Herzberg Festival", as well as on the BR late-night show "Ringlstetter". Yet brothers Johnny and Basti keep returning to the intimate setting of an acoustic duo and to the wide-open spaces of American music - folk, old-time, country, bluegrass, and the occasional dash of rock & roll. With two-part harmonies and a broad selection of stringed instruments, The Bakery Brothers remind their audiences how timeless centuries-old stories can be, how candid the present is, and how much the future holds.
