Coming full circle: STOPPOK celebrates his birthday on stages across the country

Travel broadens the mind - and this "RUND-Reise" (Round Trip) does so more than most. STOPPOK, the sharp-eyed chronicler of German life, turns 70 in 2026. Too good a milestone not to celebrate. He marks it with a "round trip" through the republic, playing the live stages of Germany - always his emotional home turf. Jubilee shows with rough edges and warm heart, a new album and old friends in tow. The icon of lyric, voice and guitar arrives in his most relaxed birthday mood.

He is, and remains, the benchmark for an entire craft: for 50 years STOPPOK has been on the road as a singular live presence, drawing from the freshest tradition of vital songwriting - an independent spirit "on solid ground" who chose early between "money or life". An outstanding lyricist full of wordplay, wisdom and sharp poetry. There is no sign of fading energy or drying inspiration. Evidence: his last two albums, "Jubel" and "Teufelsküche", both landed in the Top Five of the Media Control Charts.

STOPPOK is a singer and musician held in high regard by respected peers, combining a loose tongue with stunning craft - he commands his string instruments with masterful technique and a deeply personal touch. In recent years he has added inventive footwork to the mix: a kick pedal gives his folk-, blues- and rock-rooted sound an extra layer of rhythmic drive.

All of which means STOPPOK can carry a solo tour on his own terms - as entertainer, musician and storyteller he holds the stage alone with ease. His acoustic concerts have become the stuff of legend; for the artist himself, "pure freedom". From 19 November to 23 December the solo leg of the "RUND-Reise" winds through mostly seated venues.
