Let's be clear: anyone expecting primitive entertainment from Les Primitifs is very much mistaken. These top-tier musicians would shine in any setting, winning over audiences every time. During their shows you often can't quite tell where you've ended up - in a quiet backyard, the harbour district of Marseille, or the streets of New Orleans.

They bring their blend of jazz, rock and folk to the stage with remarkable virtuosity. Wordplay meets fast-paced melodies, and the band's name turns out to be a perfect fit. The sonic acrobats of Les Primitifs push each other to new heights and happily lose themselves in improvisations that stretch on for minutes. Their relaxed, playful energy makes it almost impossible not to get swept along.
