Our 2026 Christmas programme is a glittering journey through Italian Baroque music, embodying a world of sound rich in warmth, brilliance and exuberant joy of playing - perfectly suited to the festive season. In sparkling dialogues, dance-like rhythms and intimate songs, music unfolds that speaks equally to heart and senses. Now virtuosic and spirited, now lyrical and introspective, it tells of community, solemn reflection and overflowing zest for life.

Particularly charming is the personal touch: some of the works were arranged by Gábor Boldoczki himself, lending them individual, chamber-like dimensions. With three ECHO Klassik awards to his name, Boldoczki ranks among the world's leading trumpeters. At the Kornhaus he performs with trumpeter Selina Ott, who in 2018 at just 20 years old became the first woman to win the ARD-Musikwettbewerb competition in the trumpet category.

As soloists and as a duo, they create a musical Christmas dream that, with elegance, warmth and Italian radiance, sets the mood for the festive season. The evening may also awaken memories of concerts with trumpeter Maurice André, whose world career the Kornhaus accompanied many years ago.
