TITO & TARANTULA - Best Of - Tour 2026

Tito is back! In 2026, Tito Larriva takes Tito & Tarantula on a European tour, presenting a best-of programme spanning more than three decades of the band's history.

Larriva's career started in Los Angeles - first with the PLUGZ, then the CRUZADOS: a Top 10 single, a Billboard Magazine cover, and soon he was a fixture of the L.A. music and film scene of the 1980s. The Red Hot Chili Peppers were rehearsing next door; Emmylou Harris and Jeff Porcaro (TOTO) were his neighbours. A trained ballet dancer, he also worked as an actor - from the "Pee-wee Herman Show" (1981) to Patrick Swayze (Roadhouse), Johnny Depp (Once Upon A Time In Mexico), Antonio Banderas (Desperados 2), Mel Gibson and Milla Jovovic in Wim Wenders' "The Million Dollar Hotel", David Byrne (True Stories), Cheech Marin (Born In East LA), the Oscar-winning short film "Session Man", and R. Rodriguez (Grindhouse). He composed music for over 50 films and TV series, including the title songs for "Machete" (2010) and "Machete Kills" (2013).

The spark for Tito & Tarantula came from Robert Rodriguez's invitation to "From Dusk Till Dawn" (1995). Their performance as the vampire house band at the "Titty Twister" bar and the film's global success brought the band to Europe for the first time - as support for Joe Cocker. The debut album "Tarantism" followed in 1997, featuring classics like "After Dark", "Angry Cockroaches" and "Strange Face of Love". The band grew out of weekly sessions Larriva held under the name Tito & Friends with musicians from the L.A. scene. Tour members have included guitarist Steven Hufsteter, Peter Atanasoff (Norah Jones, Rickie Lee Jones), and drummers Alfredo Ortiz (Beastie Boys / Gogol Bordello) and Rafael Gayol (A-ha, Leonard Cohen).
