We were young, in love, full of energy, and wanted to explore the world... and we listened to, watched, and loved our musical heroes who accompanied us on this journey. We heard their songs everywhere, their music, fashion, and lifestyle were completely different from what our parents showed us! The world belonged to us! We had cutouts of our idols' photographs on our bedroom walls, read about them every day, watched every television show they appeared in, never missed a "Disco" with Ilja Richter on ZDF, had all the records in our cabinets to play on our portable record players, recorded all RTL Luxemburg broadcasts on our portable cassette recorders, and heard their greatest hits at every (school) party:
