Thomas Scheytt is regarded as "one of the finest contemporary boogie and blues pianists. His playing combines exceptional technical skill with an incredible, deeply felt range of expression" (Jazzpodium Deutschland).

Scheytt is among the busiest musicians on the European blues and boogie scene. For over 20 years he has performed not only as a soloist but also with his trio Boogie Connection - at jazz clubs and festivals across Europe and beyond, including four appearances at the world-famous New Orleans Jazz Festival in Ascona.

Scheytt has received numerous accolades. He earned particular recognition through the nomination of his CD Blues Colours for the Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik and his two wins of the German Blues Award in 2015.
