Jennifer is home alone. Her mother has to work an emergency night shift at the hospital, and her father no longer lives with them. Jennifer is a bit nervous about being alone, but it's also a great chance to do all the things Mum usually forbids: lying on the sofa with shoes on, ordering pizza without permission, and watching TV until she drops. But eventually it gets boring, and Jennifer becomes increasingly anxious. Best to hide in the wardrobe. But wait - someone is already sitting in there: Angstmän, a frightened superhero from a distant galaxy. He is fleeing from the nasty Pöbelmän, who of course is ringing the apartment door right now. Chaos ensues.

This turbulent story about fears, friendship, and superheroes shows how exciting it can be to face your fears and is a genuine source of courage.

Landestheater Detmold is a multi-genre theatre with five halls in Detmold. Through its guest performances in more than a hundred locations across Germany and neighbouring countries, the theatre is considered Europe's largest touring stage. This season the theatre visits Kempen with two productions.
