STOPPOK celebrates his birthday on stages across the country.

STOPPOK, the brilliant seismograph of our nation, reaches a milestone in 2026 - turning 70. That's too beautiful not to celebrate. On a "RUND-Reise" through the republic, on the live stages of the country. This has always been STOPPOK's natural emotional territory. So it's off on a jubilee tour with sharp edges, with heart and mind, with a new album and old friends. The text-song-guitar icon presents himself in the most festive birthday mood.

He is and remains the model for his entire profession: for 50 years, STOPPOK has been a unique live presence, an independent spirit "on solid ground" who made his choice between "money or life" long ago, an outstanding lyricist full of wordplay, wisdom and pointed poetry. There is no talk of waning strength or ideas. Proof lies in his two latest albums, "Jubel" and "Teufelsküche", which both landed in the top five of the Media Control charts.

STOPPOK is a singer and musician highly regarded by renowned colleagues, combining freedom of expression with masterful craftsmanship (he commands his string instruments with consummate skill and deeply personal touch). In recent years, this has been enhanced by original footwork, using a foot pedal to rhythmically underpin his sound, rooted in folk, blues and rock.

That's why STOPPOK can afford to tour solo - as an entertainer, musician and storyteller, he stands alone. His acoustic concerts are legendary, pure freedom for the artist himself. In December comes the solo version of the "RUND-Reise" through mostly seated venues. It fits perfectly with a new song from the album released for the tour: "The longer we're together".
