Dire Straits will perform on Thursday, 30 July 2026 at 20:30 at the Kloster St. Peter und Paul in Calw-Hirsau. This is one of nine German dates on the band's tour. The monastery, founded in the 11th century, ranks among the most significant Romanesque ruins in southwestern Germany and provides a distinctive setting for the concert. The historic location, where the Hirsau reform once flourished, lends the performance a particular character. Tickets cost 39.90 euros.

About: Dire Straits

Formed in London in 1977, Dire Straits rose from the pub-rock circuit to become one of the defining rock acts of the 1980s - with Mark Knopfler's fingerpicked guitar and storytelling lyrics at the centre of every record. Brothers in Arms (1985) topped charts in over 25 countries and helped establish the CD as the dominant music format of its era.

The monastery of St. Peter and Paul in Hirsau, a district of Calw, is one of the most significant Romanesque ruins in southwest Germany. Founded in the 11th century, it became a major centre of the Hirsau Reform movement, which shaped Benedictine monasticism across the region. Today the atmospheric ruins host open-air concerts and cultural events in summer.
