Lantern Boat Ride on the Medem - Kulturstrand

A lantern boat ride on the Medem river is the perfect evening activity for warm summer nights.

In the historic old town of the North Sea resort Otterndorf, at the Am Großen Specken jetty, the boat "Onkel Heinz" awaits. Decorated with lights, it sets a charming mood and invites you to drift along the Medem at dusk, with a gentle breeze and beautiful views of the surrounding nature.

A cold drink and easy conversation make the trip even better as the boat glides through the scenic landscape in and around Otterndorf. On the special Lichterfahrten Spezial departures, a maritime snack is included - canapés topped with smoked fish (such as smoked salmon, matjes herring, or trout) and cheese.

Please note: dogs are not permitted on board, and the boat is not wheelchair accessible.
