Two grown-up orphans stumbling through life as petty criminals suddenly face a big challenge: their Catholic orphanage is about to be shut down. To raise the missing money the honest way, they round up their old band and plan a benefit concert.

Dressed in black suits, hats and sunglasses, Jake and Elwood Blues set off on a wild ride across the country. On their legendary road trip they track down former bandmates, get caught up in hair-raising police chases, run into cowboys and cross paths with old flames.

Based on John Landis's cult film (1980) and packed with music by James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles and many more, the show delivers a musical full of action, comedy and rousing stage numbers. Director Manfred Ohnoutka's production already wowed audiences in 2024.
