MEMENTO ODESA - Sebastian Studnitzky & Band
Halepaghen-Bühne Buxtehude, Germany
19 €
An evening to remember: on 3 December 2026, the Halepaghen-Bühne in Buxtehude hosts an extraordinary concert event. Buxtehude is one of the few stops in Germany on the 2026 winter tour of "Memento Odesa".
Sebastian Studnitzky (trumpet and piano), winner of the OPUS Klassik and ECHO Jazz awards, ranks among the most compelling musical figures in Europe. He performs on the world's most prestigious stages - and in December he comes to Buxtehude, bringing with him the Ukrainian chamber orchestra of the Odesa Philharmonic, his singular project "Memento Odesa", and a concert evening that cuts deep.
What began in 2023 as a spontaneous musical act - three works recorded on the spot at the Odesa Philharmonic, in the middle of the war, as a statement of solidarity with the people of Ukraine - has grown into one of the most affecting concert projects in Germany. The 2026 winter tour marks the fifth joint German tour with the Odesa Philharmonic chamber orchestra. Two albums have since been recorded and released together in Berlin. What started as a gesture has become a musical event with international reach.
"Memento Odesa" was composed by Studnitzky himself and exists between worlds: classical music meets jazz elements, orchestral depth meets chamber intimacy, emotional weight meets sonic beauty. Studnitzky, known for his soundscapes at the intersection of classical, jazz and electronics, and the outstanding Odesa orchestra together create something rare - a modern-classical tribute to the city of Odesa and its people living under the Russian war of aggression.
