After finding reason in the first part, Tabaluga embarks on another fantastical journey.

Long, long ago, dragons lived and protected the world from the icy cold with the warmth of their fire. But over time, ice began to destroy all life. Arktos, a terrible snowman, seeks to cover the world in ice. The old dragon Tyrion prepares his little son Tabaluga for his destined mission - protecting the world. To do this, Tabaluga must find the True Fire, which alone can end Arktos's schemes.

With a magician's support, Tabaluga sets out to find the fire. On his journey, he faces many dangers, such as the spider woman Tarantula, but also discovers beautiful things. He learns that the world, full of both good and evil, is wonderful and worth saving. However, Arktos refuses to let Tabaluga fulfill his destiny. He creates a beautiful being from pure ice - a girl named Lilli, whose only task is to distract Tabaluga from his search for the True Fire.

Tabaluga falls in love with Lilli, just as Arktos planned, but through this he discovers a great and beautiful power - Love.
