Wüste Welle BIG BAND - Christmas Swing - Songs, Pop, Ballads & Blues

The WW BIG BAND from Tübingen brings a charming musical mix of Christmas swing, songs, pop, ballads and blues to Albstadt - festive and rousing in equal measure.

The vocal duties are shared by Sigrun Schumacher, whose years of stage experience and polished artistry speak for themselves, and Munich-based singer and entertainer Teddy Schmacht, whose versatile baritone moves effortlessly between Sinatra-style phrasing and pop. Special guests include saxophonist Arno Haas and New York trombonist Justus Heher.

Expect a lively big-band concert drawing on the tradition of Frank Sinatra and Barbra Streisand, rounded out with newer pop and blues numbers - a varied musical year-ender steeped in festive nostalgia. Musical direction by Lothar Landenberger and Günter Flumm from Albstadt.

Founded in 2011 as the first big band of a free radio station in Germany, the WW BIG BAND has been energising the southern German music scene ever since.
