Attention, fans of Egerland and Bohemian brass band music!
Few styles of wind music are as recognizable as the Bohemian. Its distinctive sound embodies the Bohemian way of life and the traditions of the Egerland. The demanding compositions brim with unbounded joy, yet also carry an undertone of melancholy and longing for a lost homeland.
Die Goldenen Egerländer are a genuine insider tip. Since their founding, these passionate musicians have been filling halls and concert venues across Germany - a testament to the orchestra's exceptional quality. It comes as no surprise: the professional players serve or have served in military and police orchestras nationwide, including the Stabsmusikkorps der Bundeswehr, the Bundespolizeiorchester Berlin, and the former Luftwaffenmusikkorps Berlin.
Since October 2022, the ensemble has been led by Edi Sagert, a former musician with Ernst Mosch and former director of the Original Kapelle Egerland.
With a lively, authentic, and spirited stage presence - and plenty of heart - the orchestra performs in original Egerland folk costume.
The programme centres on the finest Egerland melodies, naturally including works by ERNST MOSCH and his Original Egerländer Musikanten. When "Rauschende Birken" rings out, the audience joins in on "Wir sind Kinder von der Eger", and the "Böhmischer Wind" drifts softly through the hall - every fan of Egerland brass music will leave fully satisfied.
