Die Goldenen Egerländer - Melodien aus dem Egerland
Stadthaus Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Germany
38.5 €
Attention, fans of Egerland and Bohemian brass music!
Few styles of brass music are as recognizable as the Bohemian. Its distinctive sound embodies the Bohemian way of life and the traditions of the Egerland region. The demanding compositions brim with unbounded joie de vivre, while also carrying an undertone of melancholy and longing for a lost homeland.
Die Goldenen Egerländer are a genuine insider tip. Since their founding, these passionate musicians have been filling halls and concert venues across Germany - a testament to the orchestra's exceptional quality. No surprise there: the professional players have served or still serve in Bundeswehr and police orchestras nationwide, including the Stabsmusikkorps der Bundeswehr, the Bundespolizeiorchester Berlin, and the former Luftwaffenmusikkorps Berlin.
Since October 2022, the ensemble has been led by Edi Sagert - a former musician with Ernst Mosch and former director of the Original Kapelle Egerland.
The orchestra shapes its stage performances with energy, authenticity, and temperament, but also with great sensitivity - and, naturally, in their original Egerland folk costumes.
The programme centres on interpretations of the finest Egerland melodies, including works by ERNST MOSCH and his Original Egerländer Musikanten. When "Rauschende Birken" rings out, the audience joins in on "Wir sind Kinder von der Eger", and the "Böhmischer Wind" drifts softly through the hall - every fan of Egerland brass music will find exactly what they came for.
