Hillu's Herzdropfa - "Ächde Älpler"
Stadthalle Ellwangen, Ellwangen (Jagst), Germany
30 €
Hiltrud Stoll and Franz Auber, well known from radio and TV, are touring Swabia with their new show "Ächde Älbler".
Ächde Älbler live very close to heaven! Hillu's Herzdropfa swear by Thaddäus Troll's simple formula: "A Swabian is whoever speaks Swabian". Their Swabian homeland is not one of the federal states drawn up by politicians - it's a "cultural space", a region where people share a common culture:
- That includes Swabian thriftiness: lick the salt off the pretzel so your guest doesn't get thirsty!
- And of course Spätzle: with cheese, with sauerkraut, with lentils, with potatoes, with sauce...
- Maultaschen are a must on every Swabian menu: pan-fried, in broth, with egg... and even VEGAN (some people aren't put off by anything)
- Wash it down with a glass of Moscht (apple cider): "Good Moscht cures every pain, it's the Swabian's pearl. Wine gladdens the heart of man, but Moscht gladdens the whole fellow!"
What else makes a true Älbler, you'll find out in this show! Hillu's Herzdropfa (genuine Älbler themselves) know everything about these highlanders and what else goes on up on the Alb. Speaking in dialect is a point of honour for them. A small taste of their Alb-Swabian dialect: Zirengga? Schdriggjäggle? Aurawai? Soidawieschd?
