It's no wonder that the versatile musician Götz Alsmann makes the night the centrepiece of his evening. The multiple ECHO Jazz Award winner and "King of German Jazz Schlager" with his distinctive quiff and ever-elegant, slightly nostalgic style draws on select treasures from the history of German popular song - melancholic and humorous masterpieces from 1910 to 1965. And he does it in his own inimitable style, blending jazz, schlager, and chanson.
