What grows, crawls, flows and sounds in the hidden? How do we access worlds we cannot see, and how do inner images become audible and visible?

Through touch, sensation and description, two performers use materials and sounds to explore the world beneath our feet, follow traces into the invisible and speculate about what lies concealed there.

"unsichtbar" is Schaubude Berlin's new in-house production and the first staging at the venue created with a team of blind and sighted artists. Drawing on the method of research theatre - which invites young people into aesthetic inquiry - the artistic team went on research journeys into the world of roots together with children from the Kreuzberg nursery at Cuvrystr. 26 A. The sounds, movements, figures and sketches discovered there feed into the production: "unsichtbar" provokes the audience's imagination and, through the interplay of puppet theatre, sound and stage design, builds a multisensory world.
