Material performance and puppet theatre with live sound, integrated audio description and tactile tour - in German - 40 minutes.
What grows, crawls, flows and sounds in the hidden world beneath us? How do we access worlds we cannot see - and how do inner images become audible and visible? Two performers use materials and sounds to explore the world under our feet, tracing paths into the invisible and speculating about what lies there.
"unsichtbar" is Schaubude Berlin's new in-house production and the first show at the venue to be created by a team of blind and sighted artists. Drawing on the methods of research theatre, the artistic team went on exploratory journeys into the world of roots together with children from the Kreuzberg nursery Kita Cuvrystr. 26 A. The sounds, movements, figures and sketches discovered there feed into the production and challenge the audience's imagination through a combination of puppet theatre, sound and stage design.
