Do X Memorial Big Band Concert
Werft1919, Kressbronn am Bodensee, Germany
23 €
Do X was an engineering masterpiece. A twelve-engine flying boat with a wingspan of 48 meters, capable of taking off from water, made its maiden flight over Lake Constance on July 12, 1929 - before thousands of spectators and an enthusiastic scientific community. Do X was undoubtedly the first giant of the sky and paved the way for the development of super-jumbos.
Do X Memorial Big Band was founded by jazz enthusiasts among Dornier employees. Under the direction of bassist Hartmut Heinzelmann, the ensemble has developed into an exceptionally versatile sound body. Professional performances feature custom-tailored arrangements with varying instrumentation in the brass sections, creating a kaleidoscope of colors for swing, jazz-rock, pop, Latin grooves, and ballads. Singer Dagmar Egger brings a warm alto voice that provides a balanced counterpoint to instrumental improvisation.
Music to tap your feet to, to dance to, to simply enjoy.
