An old woodcarver named Geppetto creates a wooden puppet, Pinocchio, so he won't be alone anymore. The good fairy Antonella gives Pinocchio the chance to become a real boy. But first he must learn how to live. And that's not easy at all. Dangers and temptations lurk everywhere, trying to lead Pinocchio astray. Like the Cat and the Fox, who pretend to be his best friends but have sinister intentions. On his journey to becoming a real boy, Pinocchio experiences all sorts of adventures: a visit to the theatre, planting a golden tree, and a journey inside a whale's belly. And every time he lies, his nose grows.

Based on Carlo Collodi's story, which has enchanted generations of children and adults for over 150 years, Christian Berg, a Cuxhaven author and children's musical producer, and Konstantin Wecker have created a musical adaptation that captivates through music and evokes the magic of fairy tales, opera, the circus ring, and the Italian "dolce vita" lifestyle.
