The Deutsches Literaturarchiv Marbach (DLA) is one of the most important literary archives and research institutions in the German-speaking world, founded in 1955 in the birthplace of Friedrich Schiller. It holds manuscripts, letters, and estates of major German-language authors from the 18th century to the present, and houses two public museums: the Schiller-Nationalmuseum and the Literaturmuseum der Moderne.
