The Elbphilharmonie is Hamburg's landmark concert hall, opened in 2017 atop a historic warehouse in the HafenCity district. Designed by Herzog & de Meuron, its wave-shaped glass facade has become one of the most recognizable silhouettes in Germany. The main hall seats around 2,100 and is celebrated for its exceptional acoustics, built around a central "vineyard" layout. It hosts the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester as well as international orchestras, soloists, and jazz acts.
