The Historisch-Technisches Museum Peenemünde occupies the former power plant of the Nazi-era rocket research facility on the island of Usedom, where the V-2 ballistic missile was developed in the 1930s and 1940s. The permanent exhibition covers the history of rocket and weapons technology, forced labour at the site, and the Cold War era. Outdoor exhibits include a V-2 rocket and a Soviet submarine.
