The Historisch-Technisches Museum Peenemünde occupies the former power plant of the Nazi-era rocket research facility on the island of Usedom, where the V-2 ballistic missile was developed in the 1930s and 1940s. The permanent exhibition covers the history of rocket and weapons technology, forced labour at the site, and the Cold War era. Outdoor exhibits include a V-2 rocket and a Soviet submarine.

The NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra under conductor Andris Poga, with clarinetist Martin Fröst as soloist, performs works by Alfvén, Mozart, and Tchaikovsky.
The Baltic Sea Philharmonic, conducted by Robert Treviño, opens the festival in Peenemünde with works by Stenhammar, Tchaikovsky, and Brahms. The soloist is twelve-year-old cellist Charlotte Melkonian, winner of the Usedomer Musikpreis 2026.
