The Thomaskirche is a Gothic church in Leipzig dating back to the 13th century, closely associated with Johann Sebastian Bach, who served as its Kantor from 1723 until his death in 1750. His grave lies inside the church. The Thomanerchor, one of the oldest boys' choirs in the world, still performs here regularly, and the church hosts concerts and services throughout the year.
