Pan Maluśkiewicz and the Whale

Age 3+

A theatrical production based on Julian Tuwim's celebrated poem tells the story of a "tiny" traveler who sets out on a voyage in a boat made from a walnut shell. Along the way, he encounters various adventures and surprises - and in his little boat he manages to fit not only sailing equipment, but also a bicycle and a cannon.

The creators have presented this tale as shadow theatre - specifically, colored shadow theatre, created under the direction of director Krzysztof Zemło, who specializes in this technique. The production combines the interplay of light and visual composition with the humor of Tuwim's poetry.
