Lullaby for Mice
Teatr Lalek „Arlekin” im. Henryka Ryla w Łodzi, Łódź
A performance for children aged 4 and up.
Juli is a young boy who cannot fall asleep – because something dangerous might be lurking in the wardrobe or under the bed, and the knocking in the walls bodes nothing good. The Moon, the Wind, and the Cat offer him their advice, each with their own recipe for peaceful sleep. The question is whether any of them will prove effective for Juli.
The performance addresses the theme of nighttime fears in a warm and playful way. The text was consulted with a psychologist to match the needs and sensitivity of preschool and early school-age children. The creators drew inspiration from Nanai theatre and took care to include diverse puppet forms and soothing sounds.
