Emigration — Teatr Nowy im. K. Dejmka w Łodzi, Łódź

Malcolm, like many Poles before him, heads to London. In an unfamiliar world – far from home, loved ones, and everyday routine – he finds himself caught in a whirlwind of events full of unpredictable twists. He doesn't know how to find work or housing, which leads to a series of peculiar incidents and encounters. At every turn he makes acquaintances with people who draw him into strange dealings and private affairs. Everything unfolds at a dizzying pace, to constant music, across various locations: the market of a small town in Agrest Days, a coach to London, a truck parking lot, and a pulsing city.

The play is a staging of the picaresque novel by Malcolm XD. Among the characters the protagonist encounters are, for instance, Roman – a collector of "collectible models" – and a professor running a discussion circle in a London squat. Malcolm's adventures are told with lightness and self-irony, while remaining open to the other person and their complexity.
