Rough and tender, prayerful and earthly. The creators take audiences on a journey into the world of Belarusian healers and wise women — women who healed through words, whispered incantations over water, fire, and herbs. The starting point for this performance was a nine-year research project by photographer and anthropologist Siarhiej Leskiećc. His photographs and field notes evolved into a book, an exhibition, and ultimately a theatrical work. "Whisper" creates a ritual space on stage where each spectator becomes a witness to something sacred and hidden. All five healer characters are played by a single actress, embodying them in turn: elderly women who healed fear, cleansed with water, protected homes from lightning, or blessed the souls of unborn children. The red thread woven throughout the performance simultaneously becomes a symbol of protection, a thread of life, and a path between past and present. Minimalist scenography, texts based on documentary accounts, and a richness of sound create an intense spiritual experience. It is a whisper that cannot be drowned out — because it flows from the depths.
