Childhood is a time full of wonders. Days are filled with carefree play with peers, and in the evening we fall asleep feeling safe, surrounded by care. But with the onset of adolescence, the world begins to change. Friendships transform into constant rivalry. Pimples appear on our faces, and parents suddenly become strangers who seem to understand nothing. In short – everything that was simple becomes complicated. In such a situation finds himself twelve-year-old Arek, the protagonist of the drama "POV: You're 12 and You Have Problems" by Mariusz Gołosz. Arek is a sensitive boy on the threshold of growing up, struggling with difficult relationships at school and feeling isolated. His problems remain hidden even from his mother. His only companions are Darkness and Persistent Thoughts in His Head, and escape from harsh reality comes through dreams and the world of computer games. The performance touches on universal themes related to growing up and problems that often accompany youth – difficulties in peer relationships and internal struggles. How to cope with adolescent crisis? How to talk to young people about their problems? How to tame the darkness of growing up?
