The Seventh Initiation

One day in the life of a thirteen-year-old boy can change everything. A kid who constantly moves to new schools (such was life in the Polish People's Republic, though time and place are merely backdrop here) this time finds himself in the middle of a children's war. Two gangs - rivals, fighting, but above all playing for keeps - immediately target him. The "newcomer" is to be drawn to their side, tempted and tested, while at the same time finding his own path. A series of trials - from bizarre rituals to an expedition to the mysterious fortress of Persil - lead him toward the titular seventh initiation. It turns out that all this fierce rivalry was something entirely different from what it seemed…

This is a story full of humour, energy and nostalgia, but also reflection on the moment when childhood ends. Each of us had such a day - the last great game, after which the bubble of carefree innocence bursts forever.
