Helena (Karolina Chapko/Ilona Janyst) is a writer of cheap romance novels who decides to test whether her literary fantasies work in practice. Together with Gracjan (Marcin Korcz/Stefan Pawłowski) - an extraordinarily handsome but unfulfilled actor - they decide to write a new chapter of "a ballad of infidelity". Although their love story deserves to be an "Empik Bestseller", the lovers do everything to keep it hidden.

In full secrecy, Gracjan is willing to make sacrifices, but the elite circle of Konstancin's audience decides to appreciate his artistry in the full glare of the spotlight. With the award "Housewife of the Month" comes an imperfect radio presenter (Andrzej Andrzejewski/Tomasz Dutkiewicz), and the couple's achievements in abstract art are even appreciated by a nosy neighbour and former wife of the current husband (Daria Widawska). A quirky plumber (Bogdan Kalus/Rafał Szałajko) is not indifferent to artistic experiences either.

To meet the lofty expectations of a visionary director (Mariusz Zaniewski/Piotr Miazga), the couple must work hard.
