The Hobbit

J. R. R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit" is a fantasy classic known to a wide audience also through Peter Jackson's film adaptation. The story unfolds in an imagined world, yet clearly speaks to us and our own reality.

Bilbo Baggins sets out with a company of dwarves led by Thorin and the wizard Gandalf toward the Lonely Mountain - a place chosen as its lair by the dragon Smaug, who guards an immense treasure and spreads terror across the nearby Lake-town. What awaits the heroes on their journey? Who will stand with them against the dragon and the goblin army?

This production, adapted and directed by Grzegorz Suski, is filled with songs, costumes, props of elves and dwarves, and fantastic creatures. The premiere on the Main Stage took place on December 10, 2022. Duration: 90 minutes.
