After years of creative work immersed in the world of words and lofty ideals, a writer realizes that when she dies, her husband will have no means to bury her. From this extreme helplessness emerges an attempt - a situation the protagonist invents herself and cruelly exposes herself to.

The play is based on a drama by Jarosław Mikołajewski - one of the most compelling contemporary poets - written with subversive, mocking despair or, if you prefer, desperate irony, infused with tenderness and poetry. It is a story of a person alone with herself, with loved ones and strangers, with a bureaucrat, a mother, a husband - but also about how these others see the poet. A life reckoning for an artist? Or perhaps for anyone who cultivates dreams throughout their life, only to collide with harsh reality?

"Please," notes Jarosław Mikołajewski, "do not seek my own experiences in this story. I assembled the protagonist from various characters, including myself, but - as they say - any resemblance to the real world is illusory."
