Agnes Obel (born Agnes Caroline Thaarup Obel, 28 October 1980, Copenhagen) is a Danish singer-songwriter, pianist, and producer based in Berlin. She writes, records, and produces all her music herself, building a sound that sits at the crossroads of chamber pop, classical, and folk. Her 2010 debut Philharmonics went six-times platinum in Denmark and topped the charts there and in Belgium; three further albums - Aventine (2013), Citizen of Glass (2016), and Myopia (2020) - cemented her reputation as one of Europe's most distinctive independent voices.
