Anthony Rother (born 29 April 1972, Offenbach am Main) is a German electronic music producer, DJ and label owner widely credited as one of the key figures in the European electro revival of the late 1990s. His sound - machine-like beats, vocoder vocals and dystopian lyrics about technology and society - shaped a generation of electro producers. He founded the labels Psi49Net (1998) and Datapunk (2003), and has collaborated with Karl Bartos, Sven Väth and DJ Hell.
Rother released 'Anthony Rother presents DATAPUNK 20+ YRS', a 39-track retrospective on Datapunk combining classics and previously unreleased archive material.
Rother contributed the track 'Zombie Master' to Mechatronica's electro/techno compilation 'Constellations Vol. 3'.
Rother is currently touring across 3 countries with upcoming dates including Nice and Brussels.
Rother performed a Hybrid Electro set in Denver, USA, continuing his international live activity.
