ASH - 1977 30th Anniversary Tour
The band ASH celebrates the 30th anniversary of their iconic album "1977" on a special anniversary tour.
Ash are a Northern Irish rock trio from Downpatrick, formed in 1992 by Tim Wheeler (vocals/guitar), Mark Hamilton (bass) and Rick McMurray (drums). Their 1996 debut album 1977 and the 2001 follow-up Free All Angels both topped the UK Albums Chart, and the band has placed 18 songs in the UK Top 40 over a career now spanning more than three decades. Still releasing and touring at full pace, they put out their ninth studio album Ad Astra in October 2025.
Ash released their ninth studio album Ad Astra on 3 October 2025 via Fierce Panda Records, featuring two collaborations with Blur guitarist Graham Coxon.
The band announced the Ad Astra UK and Ireland headline tour spanning autumn 2025 into February 2026, with dates in London, Glasgow, Dublin, Belfast and more.
Lead single 'Give Me Back My World' was released ahead of Ad Astra, with Tim Wheeler noting the song dates back to 2020.
Ash performed at Glastonbury for the eighth time in 2025, equalling Van Morrison's record for most appearances at the festival.
The 30th Anniversary Edition of the debut album 1977 was released as a 2CD set, including a live recording of the full album performed at STABAL in 2021.
