About

The Subways are a British indie/punk rock trio from Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, formed around 2003 by guitarist-vocalist Billy Lunn, bassist-vocalist Charlotte Cooper and drummer Josh Morgan (later replaced by Camille Phillips in 2023). They broke through in 2005 with their Gold-certified debut album Young for Eternity - landing support slots for Foo Fighters and Oasis and a slot on Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage - and have since released five studio albums, most recently Uncertain Joys (2023). Their anthem 'Rock & Roll Queen' has surpassed 100 million streams and remains a fixture of rock radio and festival stages across Europe.
