About

Deftones are a Grammy Award-winning alternative metal band from Sacramento, California, active since 1988. Fronted by Chino Moreno, the quartet - completed by guitarist Stephen Carpenter, drummer Abe Cunningham and keyboardist/turntablist Frank Delgado - built a sound that fuses heavy riffs with shoegaze atmosphere and moody electronics. Their 2000 album White Pony, certified 2× Platinum by the RIAA, is widely regarded as a landmark of the genre; their tenth studio album, private music, followed in August 2025.
