Limp Bizkit is an American nu metal band from Jacksonville, Florida, formed in 1994 by vocalist Fred Durst, bassist Sam Rivers, and drummer John Otto; guitarist Wes Borland and turntablist DJ Lethal joined two years later. Blending heavy metal, hip-hop, and funk, the band broke through with Significant Other (1999) and Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water (2000), both reaching #1 on the Billboard 200. They are widely regarded as one of the defining acts of the nu metal era, with a catalog that has accumulated billions of streams.
