Eric Bibb (born August 16, 1951, New York City) is an American blues and folk guitarist, singer, and songwriter who has built his career largely in Europe. Son of civil rights activist and folk singer Leon Bibb, he grew up in the Greenwich Village scene alongside figures like Bob Dylan and Pete Seeger, with actor-activist Paul Robeson as his godfather. Over five decades he has released more than 40 albums, earned three Grammy nominations, and won multiple Blues Music Awards - cementing his place as one of the most respected acoustic blues voices of his generation.
