Flatfoot 56 - Flatcap
Irish folk-punk band Flatfoot 56 performs at the Goldgrube venue.
Flatfoot 56 is an American Celtic punk band from Chicago's South Side, founded in 2000 by brothers Tobin, Justin, and Kyle Bawinkel, with bagpiper Josh Robieson joining shortly after. Their sound fuses Scottish Highland bagpipes and folk instrumentation with street-level punk and Oi!, drawing comparisons to Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly. The band has released seven studio albums; their 2010 record Black Thorn charted on nine Billboard charts and landed on Spin magazine's list of life-changing records. Openly Christian and rooted in working-class values, they have built a loyal following across North America and Europe over more than two decades of relentless touring.
Flatfoot 56 officially signed to Pirates Press Records on June 4, 2026.
The band is on a European tour in July 2026, with confirmed dates in Paris, Heilbronn, and Kassel.
Flatfoot 56 played a punk/rock show at Reggies Chicago on March 8, 2025, alongside Catch 22, The Copyrights, and Mania.
The band released a split EP with The Rumjacks in 2022, each contributing three original songs, available on vinyl and streaming platforms.
The band released the single and music video "Sorry" in May 2022.
