About

In Flames is a Swedish heavy metal band from Gothenburg, formed in 1990 and widely regarded as one of the founding acts of the Gothenburg melodic death metal scene alongside At the Gates and Dark Tranquillity. Over 14 studio albums and more than three decades of touring, the band has sold over two million records worldwide and earned seven Swedish Grammis awards. Vocalist Anders Fridén and guitarist Björn Gelotte have been the constant core since 1995, steering the band through a sound that has evolved from raw melodeath to a broader heavy rock palette.
