Jungle Rot
Metal band Jungle Rot performs at Berlin's Lido club.
Jungle Rot is an American death metal band from Kenosha, Wisconsin, active since the early 1990s and led throughout by guitarist and vocalist Dave Matrise. Their sound is built on heavy, mid-paced groove riffs and blunt, aggressive songwriting - closer in spirit to Slayer and Sodom than to the technical extremes of the genre. Over twelve studio albums and three decades of near-constant touring, they have become one of the most consistent acts in the American death metal underground.
Jungle Rot released their twelfth studio album, Cruel Face of War, on May 15, 2026, via Unique Leader Records, produced by Chris Djuricic and mixed by Dan Swanö.
Jungle Rot are currently on their Back to the Old School EU Tour 2026, which kicked off in Göttingen on June 7 and runs through August 6 in Schwerin, Germany.
Jungle Rot announced a North American fall 2026 tour supporting Vader on the Reign Forever In Kingdom Of Blood Tour, covering 21 dates across the US and Quebec in September.
Jungle Rot performed at Wacken Open Air on August 1, 2024, on the Headbangers Stage, as part of a broader summer 2024 European tour.
The band released their eleventh studio album, A Call to Arms, on May 13, 2022, through Unique Leader Records.
