Kayah (born Katarzyna Szczot, 5 November 1967) is a Polish singer-songwriter whose work spans pop, soul, jazz and Balkan folk. She broke through with her debut album Kamień (1995) and reached international audiences through the diamond-certified collaboration Kayah i Bregović (1999) with Goran Bregović, one of the best-selling Polish records ever. A multiple Fryderyk Award winner, she also runs her own independent label, Kayax, launched in the mid-2000s.
