Levellers - 35 Years Levelling The Land
British folk-rock band Levellers mark 35 years of their iconic album "Levelling The Land" with a live show at the Live Music Hall in Cologne.
Levellers are a folk-rock and folk-punk band from Brighton, formed in 1988, whose politically charged songs and relentless touring built one of the most loyal fanbases in British alternative music. Their 1991 album Levelling the Land - platinum-selling, over 300,000 copies in the UK alone - made them a household name, and 1995's Zeitgeist went straight to number 1, beating out Blur and The Charlatans. They headlined the Glastonbury Pyramid Stage in 1994 to a record crowd of 300,000 people and have continued recording and touring ever since.
Levellers announced an autumn 2026 UK and Ireland 'LTL35 Tour' celebrating the 35th anniversary of Levelling the Land, running from 20 October to 21 November 2026.
A remastered and expanded anniversary edition of Levelling the Land was released on 16 October 2026 via Warner/Rhino on vinyl and 3CD digipack.
Levellers released a remastered and remixed 30th anniversary edition of Zeitgeist on 7 November 2025 via Warner Music, followed by a five-date UK tour.
The band released a new single 'Alive' to mark the 30th anniversary of Zeitgeist ahead of the November 2025 tour.
The Levellers Collective completed a 17-date acoustic UK theatre tour in March 2025, coinciding with the release of a live album and DVD recorded at Hackney Empire in 2023.
