American thrash metal band Municipal Waste performs in Munich.
Municipal Waste is an American crossover thrash band from Richmond, Virginia, active since 2000. Drawing heavily on 1980s thrash and hardcore punk, they helped spark a crossover revival in the early 2000s with their debut album Waste 'Em All (2003) and broke through internationally with Hazardous Mutation (2005) and The Art of Partying (2007). Vocalist Tony Foresta and guitarist Ryan Waste are the band's only constant members across seven studio albums released on Earache and Nuclear Blast.
Municipal Waste was announced as a support act on Cannibal Corpse's 28-date North American fall 2025 tour, running from September 15 in Nashville to October 22 in Charlotte.
Municipal Waste launched a North American tour in January 2025 as support for Kerry King's solo band.
Municipal Waste are confirmed for Bloodstock Open Air 2026 (August 6-9, Derbyshire, UK), Alcatraz Metal Festival 2026 (Kortrijk, Belgium), and Summer Breeze Open Air 2026 (Dinkelsbühl, Germany).
The band released their seventh studio album Electrified Brain on July 1, 2022 via Nuclear Blast, to strong critical reception including 8.5/10 from Blabbermouth and 4/5 from Kerrang!.
